The Alarm.com ADC-T40K-HD Smart Thermostat HD is a 24 VAC Z-Wave thermostat with a full-color touchscreen, guided setup, humidity control, ventilation control, and integration with the Alarm.com platform. It supports heating, cooling, heat-pump, dual-fuel, humidifier, dehumidifier, and ventilation systems, with remote control and automation through compatible Alarm.com systems.

Compatibility & Before You Buy

• Requires 24 VAC power.
• A C-wire is required for normal installation.
• Supports up to 3 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling.
• Compatible with forced-air systems, heat pumps using O or B reversing valves, dual-fuel systems, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, HRV/ERV ventilation, and external-air baffles.
• The thermostat communicates by Z-Wave, not Wi-Fi.
• Alarm.com remote control and automation require a compatible Alarm.com account/service package.
• Homes without a suitable existing C-wire may have installation options using Alarm.com’s ADC-T40-PP Power Plate, but Alarm.com says that setup should be handled by an HVAC technician.
